Botox® vs. Dysport®: Which Is Better?
Choices in neurotoxins are expanding, and you want to be a smart consumer. We’re here to help you decide which option is best. Keep reading for our expert breakdown: Botox® vs. Dysport®.
Which is better?
Essentially, they’re the same product. Both Botox® and Dysport® will reduce the appearance of lines caused by the movement of overactive muscles.
How are they alike?
When your provider completes your micro-injection, the medicine in Botox® or Dysport® gradually relaxes the muscle. After a few days, the muscle doesn’t move as much. Then, the skin lying over the muscle starts to smooth out and you notice fewer lines and wrinkles. Voila!
Both products also have excellent savings programs:
How are they different?
Dysport® is mixed a little differently, so you might need more units of the product. The price will work out to be about the same, unless you’re scheduled on a Savvy Saver Day. (Savvy Saver pricing: Botox® ($12.05/unit) and Dysport® ($11.05/unit).)
Additionally, many say that they notice results from Dysport® a little faster. You may notice your Dysport® results in as little as 2-4 days, whereas your Botox® results may take 7-14 days.
