“Bro-Tox”: It’s Not Just for the Ladies!
“Less angry”. “More masculine”. “Less tired”. Reasons why men choose to get “Bro-tox”, or any number of neurotoxins to turn back the clock without breaking the bank.
Men want to look refreshed without looking frozen, just like women do. The main difference with men is this: men tend to have stronger muscles and may need a little more neurotoxin for best results. Men may also lose volume differently than women and experience deeper creasing or folds. This sort of aging can be remedied with dermal fillers like Juvederm®, Restylane®, Voluma®, Vollure®, or Radiesse®.
What is a neurotoxin?
It’s just a fancy name for a medicine that limits the overactive movement of muscles that cause age-related lines such as:
- Crow’s feet
- Forehead & frown lines
- Smoker’s lines
The neurotoxins offered in our office are Botox® and Dysport®.
When should I use dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers may be a better choice than neurotoxins when deep creases are present. They’re also fantastic for replacing lost volume that contributes to saggy or flat-looking cheeks and/or cheekbones.
Who is a good candidate for neurotoxin?
Anyone–man or woman–who is tired of looking tired, being asked “are you tired/mad/sad?”, or interested in seeing a slightly younger version of self in the mirror. Don’t expect the same results as those offered by a facelift, because neurotoxins are made to soften lines caused by muscle movement.
My significant other has facial lines and I want them to have “Bro-tox”. How do I tell them?
We have a few suggestions for you. Maybe you’re shy to admit that YOU have tried neurotoxin. Why not send a link to this page? They may never have considered neurotoxins as an option. You could also invite them to your next neurotoxin appointment so they can see how easy it is!
How much does an average neurotoxin treatment cost?
The fee depends on how many units are used. Each unit ranges in fee from $11.05-$13.00. Treatment totals may range between $200-$500, depending on how many units your provider recommends to meet your goals. Please be sure to discuss any budget concerns before your provider begins your session.
If your provider recommends dermal filler for deeper creases, the fee may range from $600-$1500. Fees are dependent on how many syringes of filler are recommended for best results.
