Jessie’s Wedding Must-Have’s

Everyone wants to look their absolute best on their wedding day, but the reality is we may not do it if we don’t have the drive.  A wedding date gives us a deadline, and forces us to make a move.  Below, Jessie shares with us her must-have beauty treatments leading up to her big day and her carefully coordinated timeline.

  • Set The Wedding Date (this applies to any big event:  a class reunion, renewal of wedding vows, international travel, etc.).
    1. Once you have the date, you have your deadline.
    2. Give yourself at least 6 months to get everything done!
  • 6 Months Out
    1. Light Mixto
      1. Build collagen, tighten skin superficially, smooth skin texture and get a gorgeous glow!
        1. From Jessie:  “My Light Mixto is my holy grail of cosmetic treatments.  This is my favorite go-to to get my skin glowing, tighter and brighter.”
      2. Approximate cost:  $700-$1500
  • 6 Weeks Out
    1. Broad Band Light and Versa Pulse Laser
      1. Reduce redness and unwanted small blood vessels on the face and around the nose.  Perfect for close-up pictures.
      2. Approximate cost:  $200-$500
  • 4-6 Weeks Out
    1. 2nd Light Mixto
      1. Refine skin texture, build more collagen, improve glow.
      2. Approximate cost:  $700
  • 4 Weeks Out
    1. Botox® & Restylane®
      1. Reduce frown lines, crow’s feet, frown lines, and smile lines.
        1. From Jessie:  “My Botox set in completely and any bruising I might have had was able to resolve well before my wedding and photos.”
      2. Approximate cost:  $500-$800
  • 2-4 Weeks Out
    1. Laser Hair Removal
      1. Touch up as needed to areas treated years prior.
        1. From Jessie:  “I loved the fact that I had done Laser Hair Removal years ago and that I did my touch up before the wedding.  I didn’t have to think about shaving at all leading up to the wedding.”
      2. Approximate cost:  $200-$300

Jessie’s Pro Skin Care Tips:  “I continued to use my usual SkinMedica products:  Lytera® and Retinol 0.25.   I used Latisse™ as well, even with my lash extensions because I want to maintain my lashes once my extensions are removed.”
