Practicalities Of PRP

Have you been looking for an all in one solution for anti-aging?

PRP is plasma with many more platelets than what is typically found in blood (PRP = Platelet Rich Plasma). The concentration of platelets — and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors — can be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than usual.

Here at The Cosmetic & Skin Surgery Center, Jessie Mallalieu, our Physician Assistant,  will perform your treatment.

We have three in office treatments using PRP in our office.

PRP for hair loss

Recruit new hairs to grow using your own PRP! PRP will be extracted from your blood and injected into the scalp, it stimulates stem cells around follicles to thicken and it keeps hair that is present in its growth phase.

Microneedling with PRP

This skin resurfacing option is for people of all skin tones. Microneedling with PRP uses fine micro needles to create micro channels (tiny holes) in your skin.  This process jump-starts your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces collagen and elastin.  This repair process begins almost immediately, leading to predictable, beautiful, and safe results.

Facial Rejuvenation

PRP stimulates your own collagen to grow for total facial rejuvenation rather than individual wrinkle improvement. PRP is used to add volume to faces that are beginning to look drawn, plumps out cheeks and smile lines, softens under-eye hollows, and treats temples or acne and facial or body scars. It works  in areas where hyaluronic acid fillers cannot reach.
