Summer Skin Survival Guide

The rumors are that summer weather might stretch into fall…so how should that affect your skincare routine?  Most of us try to skimp on skincare when it’s hot, but did you know that’s one of the worst things to do?  Keep reading for our easy tips to great-looking and healthy skin.*

 

  1. Sunscreen is your best friend.
    1. Any anti-aging skincare routine MUST include sunscreen.  Try SkinMedica for its mineral-based line that includes anti-oxidants.
      1. If you’re going to the beach:  Remember to apply your sunscreen before you get there and then reapply SPF every 2 hours.
  2. Protect your lips.
    1. Your skin isn’t the only valuable asset you have.  Your kissers are made of delicate skin that require SPF protection, too.  Don’t forget to use a specialized SPF made for the lips.
  3. Drink water…and then drink some more water.
    1. Hydrated skin is supple and full.  Drink up!  Not a fan of water?  Eat lots of fruits and veggies that are chock full of water, like watermelon, honeydew, cantelope, cucumber, lettuce, berries and more!
  4. Exfoliate for a rosy glow.
